Dr. Róbert Gajdos studied law at the József Attila University of Szeged, Faculty of Law. His thesis was on the Chicago Stock Exchange, which was studied in the United States in the summer of 1992.
He worked as a candidate lawyer from 1993, took a legal exam in 1996, and then started as a lawyer with an office manager in her own office, where he also served as a public procurement consultant from 2005 until his election as President of the Public Procurement Authority. As a lawyer, he was primarily involved in company law, economic law and public procurement law. For 17 years, the firm has represented one of Hungary’s major business groups, the WALLIS Group, which is present in many areas of business. During this period he has gained extensive experience in business law and corporate management, which he continues to capitalize on in his work. Member of the National Association of Public Procurement Lawyers since 2009.
From September 2010 to September 2014, he was President of the Public Procurement Authority. He was chairman of the Editorial Board of the Public Procurement Review, and is currently chairing exams for the professional examinations of the Public Procurement Officer. He co-authored the Public Procurement Commentary and co-authored several articles on public procurement. He took an active role in society, until the end of 2014 he was a member of the jury of the Hungarian Product Grand Prix and until the end of 2015 he was a member of the jury of the CSR Hungary.
